It’s always Restaurant Week at Hungry Mother

OKAY Foodie Math Whiz – check this out:

For a couple dollars extra per person you can eat just as well (ahem- better?!) than a Restaurant Week menu…

Dinner for 4 at Hungry Mother ( $39.75 / person – Sample Dinner Bill Listed Below) (Restaurant Week – $38.13 / person)

No disrespect to our friends in the industry who participate in Restaurant Week – it is great for the businesses and great for diners when they go to a place that keeps its integrity during the week … We just want to point out that you can get a great value here, too, even though we are not participating in “restaurant week”

so come see us.  TONIGHT.

love

Excitement is building over here… from the chefs  preparing the Scituate Lobsters who crawled through the door ready to be made into She-Lobster soup, to the bartenders who have tasted and tested every shot, cocktail, beer, and wine – making sure the pairings are perfect.

Please call the restaurant for more information or to make a reservation … 617-499-0090 … We look forward to celebrating the New Year with you.

What the what? … Escargots & Grits ?!?! B&B Pickle Soda ?!?! We’re back…

Hey There.

We’re back from vacation… well rested and rarin’ to go… with lots of new and delicious menu items  –

Start planning out your dinner by checking out the updated dinner menu http://www.hungrymothercambridge.com/menus/HungryMotherDinner.html

where you can read about Virginia Peanut Soup with black truffle-lime vinaigrette, Escargots and Grits, and Blackened Redfish served with Carolina gold rice, huspuppies and drawn butter, just to name a few…

Then continue on to the beverage list http://www.hungrymothercambridge.com/menus/HungryMotherDrinks.html

and think about stretching out the autumn festivities with our Fallback Cocktail ( pumpkin bourbon, bual madeira, gran classico, tiki bitters ) OR start gearing up for winter with a Mikkeler Red/White Christmas, spiced beer… it’s a cross between a British Red Ale and a Belgian Witbier – brilliant!

As usual – feel free to call for a reservation … 617-499-0090 … or drop by and cozy up to the bar where you can “warm up” to the crackling fire in the fireplace ( on the t.v. )

AND WAIT !  Hope you saved room for dessert… http://www.hungrymothercambridge.com/menus/HungryMotherAfterDinner.html

how about Black Bottom Pie with Taza chocolate ganache and white chocolate & peppermint custard.

hope to see you soon … we’ve missed you.

After more than a year hiatus it’s making its comeback tonight! Beef Tongue Canape featuring Pineland Farms natural meat. Just as delicious as you remember…

We’re sick of shoveling snow, but not sick of reminding you we’re open during the snow storms!

Just a friendly reminder … the snow doesn’t stop us around here. We understand that at this point you’re ready to click “purchase” on that ticket to Florida, but before you go, stop in to help us consume some of this Potlikker, Chicken & Dumplings, and Bourbon Upside-Down Cake… also check out some of our new cool beers; De Ranke Saison de Dottignies from Wevelgem, Belgium and Drie Fonteinen Oude Gueuze, Beersel, Belgium ( in a large bottle to share with your friends.)

Give us a call if you’d like to come see us tonight – or just drop on by and cozy up to the bar!

fried oyster and back bacon sandwich with red remoulade

need we say more?  ok.  we’ll say a little – Chesapeake Bay Oysters dredged in Anson Mills corn meal, piled onto Hungry Mother house made (HM HM) back bacon (some know it as true Canadian Bacon or Peameal Bacon), all overflowing from a red remoulade spread fresh dinner roll from our friends down the street at Central Bakery.  Come on in and get it – its on our regular dinner menu AND the late night menu (10:30pm -12:30am ).  Call the restaurant after 2pm if you’d like to make a reservation (617-499-0090) or visit us at www.hungrymothercambridge.com .
